Introduction - Notes for teachers
  • It is hoped that the VFS can be used as part of A level and higher education Biology and Environmental courses. The main scientific project could be used to assess experimental design and planning, evaluation and presentation of results. The are full guidance notes available within the VFS environment. If required, a mathematical and statistical treatment of the results would also be possible.
  • The first conservation project would involve the planning and carrying out of sand compaction readings on a key sea turtle nesting beach on the virtual island. There are plans for further projects in the future.
