Diagnostic features:kemps diagram

  • Carapace is nearly round
  • Rathkes gland open on 4th infra marginal scales
  • Flippers: fore usually only one claw in adults: hind 1 or 2 claws
  • Colour: dorsal - olive grey; ventral - white or yellowish
