Location 36: The sea.

Dawn is breaking but it is still quite dark. The hatchlings have finally reached the sea and instinctively swim away from the shore. Predators are still present and a real danger to the survival of the hatchlings.

The hatchlings enter the sea safely and swim out into the bay.

The hatchlings are just about to enter the sea but a curious tourist who is out for an early morning walk picks up a hatchling. This hatchling may not be able to find its home beach when it is an adult as its imprinting may now be damaged - never pick up a hatchling!

Dawn is here. Ghost crabs line the edge of the sea and attack and kill 5 hatchlings - the rest escape and swim out to sea unharmed.
