A few eggs have been accidently dug up by children playing in the
soft sand at the top of the beach. These eggs become damaged and could
lead to the death of many other eggs.
20 eggs, which are the size of ping-pong (table tennis) balls, die.
The area around the nest has also been compacted, which may reduce
the chance of hatchlings emerging successfully.
Keep a running total of the numbers of eggs which
survive.
Click on the eggs to find out what happens next.
