Welcome to
the EuroTurtle Maths page. This is the right place to sharpen
your Maths skills and also to extend your knowledge about sea
turtles. The Maths activity that is featured in this web page
is targeted for the upper levels of middle school pupils. The
students have to measure different species of turtles, using the
SCL (Straight Carapace Length) measurements and the CCL (Curved
Carapace Length) measurements. They have to understand the difference
between these two types of measurements and eventually work out
a percentage. We are also adding three tables with statistics
about sea turtles. These can be used and adapted by Maths and
Science teachers for a variety of activities such as graph plotting,
percentage, etc. Feel free to explore these pages, print these
activities and learn about sea turtles!
