Photopollution, also known as light pollution Obtrusive or excessive artificial light caused by humans that has adverse effects on wildlife. The interference of artificial light has negative impacts on sea turtles, especially on females selecting a nest site and for hatchlings orientating themselves to find the water using the moon and stars.
